Abigith Baby has over 3.5 years of experience in the energy sector, with his core expertise being techno-economic feasibility studies, performance evaluation of solar photovoltaic systems, data analysis, green audits and sustainability reporting. He has worked on the performance evaluation of more than 35 solar sites in India and contributed to the development of the ‘Environmental Health and Safety Module’ section of the ‘Solar O&M Handbook’ developed by WISE under the USAID-PEER initiative. The Handbook has become a predominant reference material for Solar O&M professionals across the country. He has been engaged with multiple government and private entities in supporting their clean energy initiatives. Abigith is currently working with the Government of Bhutan for developing energy efficiency codes of practice and compliance framework for Bhutan’s industrial sector.
Prior to joining WISE, Abigith worked in new product development of solar structures in the Indian solar manufacturing industry and also as a Marine Engineer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology and a Graduate Marine Engineering Diploma from the Anglo Eastern Maritime Academy.
