Tariff determination of solar pv project

Tariff determination of solar pv project

Reliance Industries Limited approached WISE for assistance in tariff petition filing for a 5 MW solar PV power project in Rajasthan under MNRE’s Generation Based Incentive (GBI) scheme beyond the first 10 years of operation.

WISE prepared the tariff petition based on relevant MNRE GBI guidelines, RERC regulations and orders, and other project-specific data. Based on the analysis of actual project data, WISE determined a suitable levelised tariff for the remaining period and filed a petition on behalf of the client. The case is ongoing.

MASTER RE PLAN FOR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING CAMPUS, PUNE

MASTER RE PLAN FOR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING CAMPUS, PUNE

The MES College of Engineering, Pune, approached WISE to conduct basic energy audit and explore possibilities of implementing renewable energy options such as wind energy, solar powered street lights, solar pumps, charging stations, biogas plants, etc., and propose suitable measures for energy conservation and energy efficiency.

The project entailed multiple site visits and detailed design of the proposed layout. Technical analysis involved solar radiation assessment including irradiance values such as Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) and diffuse radiation by using best-in-class METEONORM software and sources, project capacity evaluation, estimation of expected generation, preparation of electrical SLD, plant layout, power evacuation methods, along with overview of the state policy and regulatory framework. Technical designs with respect to all the proposed RE technologies were duly discussed and final report was submitted.

INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PV SECURITY LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR MAHER IN MAHARASHTRA

INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PV SECURITY LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR MAHER IN MAHARASHTRA

CRISIL Ltd. sought WISE’s support to install a solar PV security lighting system for ‘Maher’, a Women and Child Welfare Centre located in Shirur in Pune, Maharashtra. The project was conducted under the CSR activity of CRISIL Foundation—the public charitable trust of CRISIL Ltd.

Maher (meaning “my mother’s home” in Marathi) is an interfaith and caste-free Indian, non-governmental organization that provides shelter and support to destitute women and children. After considering the requirements of the welfare centre, CRISIL, under WISE’s technical guidance, installed 13 solar street lighting systems for the women’s hostel and main building campus. As part of this project, WISE conducted two training programmes for CRISIL employees. The training programmes involved the basics of renewable energy technologies and introduction to solar PV installations.

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR SOLAR PV AND CSP FOR KVN, TELANGANA

FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR SOLAR PV AND CSP FOR KVN, TELANGANA

KVN Innovations and Project Pvt Ltd, Telangana, sought WISE’s support for conducting feasibility studies (technical and financial) on solar PV and concentrated solar thermal (CST) systems with compact linear Fresnel reflector (CLFR) technology, which included a) trackers, b) structures and reflector assemblies, c) receiver tubes, and d) thermal energy storage systems. WISE undertook site assessment and detailed technology assessment for the CLFR technology and also looked at other commercial solar thermal technology options. WISE prepared and submitted detailed technical feasibility reports for solar PV and concentrated solar thermal technologies to KVN.

SUBSTITUTING C1 GAS WITH SOLAR PV IN THE GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL

SUBSTITUTING C1 GAS WITH SOLAR PV IN THE GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL

WISE was approached by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) based in Qatar to study and analyse the possibility of substituting C1 gas in a 200 MW grid-connected power plant with solar PV. WISE undertook detailed study on consumption of C1 gas for power generation and carried out a techno commercial feasibility study on substituting the gas with solar PV power and provided specific recommendations on feasibility in a detailed technical report.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO GUJARAT STATE ELECTRICITY CORPORATION LTD

TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO GUJARAT STATE ELECTRICITY CORPORATION LTD

The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) sought the technical support of WISE for evaluating long-term wind resources, energy production potential, and feasibility of setting up wind projects in Panandhro village in Kutch.

WISE analysed the site conditions and assessed the wind data for setting up 25 MW wind power projects by modelling energy yield using different technology and turbine models. Going beyond feasibility study, WISE prepared the bid document for inviting OEMs for execution of supply, installation and commissioning of the project and further supported GECL for evaluation of bids.
