Director, Administration and Finance
Milind brings with him 35 years of experience in the fields of Accounts, Audit, Taxation and Administration, and more than 10 years of specialized expertise in foreign funding and its accounting and audit. He was instrumental in the development of accounts and payroll software and its implementation in WISE, and the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA)—where he was formerly employed—as well as transformation from manual to computerized accounting. Besides managing externally funded FCRA projects for more than 10 years (since 2008), he was also responsible for maintaining the accounting and administrative procedures, preparation of financial reports and its submission to the European Union (EU), and attendance of EU audit, for WISE’s EU funded project on ‘Facilitating Offshore Wind in India’ (FOWIND), as per EU’s standards and procedures. Milind has also prepared WISE’s Finance Manual.
While in MEDA, Milind developed and implemented the Deferred Payment Facility (DPF) scheme for Solar Water Heating Systems in Maharashtra. He holds a Masters in Commerce and has completed a Middle Management Training Programe in Finance & Administration from IIM, Ahmedabad.
Milind is of the opinion that “more investment in green power projects in India will lead to low-cost energy supply and further reduce the world’s dependence on fossil fuels and their import, which is the need of the hour.”
