Our work in climate is multidisciplinary and combines energy engineering and economics with climate change and sustainable development. In keeping with national and international commitments to reduce emissions, we are taking our expertise and lessons learned to further climate mitigation through policy, climate governance and finance on one hand, and foster livelihood security and increased adaptability to the impacts of climate change at the grassroots on the other hand.
We engage with partners and collaborators in mitigation of climate at sub-national levels through the development of futuristic climate-energy scenarios, regional action plans and policy roadmaps, and facilitating climate governance by understanding and enhancing complex decision-making capabilities, processes and procedures at institutional levels. We also work to build socio-economic capacities and resilience of the vulnerable and marginalised communities to tackle climate change.
