The main objective of the project was to see how the national RE target specified in the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) could be achieved with practical implementation goals.
WISE modelled different RE capacity addition scenarios and prepared a detailed roadmap highlighting key policy, regulatory and technology interventions to support the 12% and 15% RPO targets by 2017 and 2020, respectively. The report helped contextualize the capacity requirements of different states and helped in optimizing the target-setting process across them.
