An ongoing project, the Centre for Regulation and Policy, WISE, was engaged by the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Ltd (MSPDCL)—the state distribution utility—for preparation of ARR and tariff petition for the financial year 2022—23. The final tariff order was issued on March 2022.
Post issuance of the tariff order, the WISE team carried out detailed analysis of the order, suggesting that a review petition be framed. Accordingly, MSPDCL requested CRP, WISE, to prepare the same which was carried out and submitted to MSPDCL for comments. The petition was then reviewed, finalised and submitted to the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission of Manipur and Mizoram. Subsequently, an order was issued by the Commission.
